Ciel Gris, Umami, Kusama

I used to think Paris blanket grey skies were romantic ❤️

Paris is a grey city - overcast skies, grey cobblestone streets,
 grey Baron Haussmann buildings.

Blanc d'Ivoire

Parisiens don't just wear neutrals year-round and live in neutral buildings. They furnish their interiors with even more neutrals...To visit the new branch of Blanc D'Ivoire
25 rue de saintonge, 75003Fernanda et famille at Blanc D'Ivoire, original watercolor, 9" x 11" They have a wonderful eye. Everything at Blanc d'Ivoire is pretty terrific. Terrific shapes.
Terrific textures...
Terrific neutrals that all work perfectly together...
They do offer the odd small spash of brilliant color just to jazz things up a bit.
For an even bigger spash of brill color.
After we went to the fav caf hidden inside the Centre Culturel Suedois..
11, rue Payenne 75003 Paris

The Swedish are not afraid to get spashy with color.
But they do get their knickers in a twist if you bring in a tarte citron from nearby patisserie Jacques Genin to eat with their chocolat chaud.
We got our hands slapped...ahem :)

Paris Grey Report

Terrie's Paris cafe bird,watercolor on Etsy, 5.5" x 7.5
Rain, rain, rain...
It's been non-stop rain here in New York for about 3 days.

It rained every single day I was in Paris - OK it drizzled, which is different than a New York downpour. I did not take an umbrella with me either.

I did wear a raincoat non-stop.

My dream house is this tiny grey guard house outside the Musee de Sevres...
The windows were again full of grey/gris this Fall....
Toute en gris...

A giant grey scarf.

Smile! I use my copious scarf to hide my camera not reveal it.
Karl Lagerfeld came out with this charcole grey perfume called KAPSULE in a square bottle...Hmmm

All food was grey before color printing came along...
Real grey-colored food. I still don't know what flavor macarons these are but does it matter? So that's the Grey report from Paris.
BON WEEK-END!

Paris en Gris

the view from C.'s kitchen window I've said it before - Paris is a gris/grey town. Paris has grey skies and all those grey Hausmannian buildings. Parisians dress in neutrals with a dash of color.
Bebe boutique on rue Vavin But I never expected to see baby clothes in shades of gris/grey.Look. The stuffed cat toy is the same one applicayed on the little shirt above...Same with the stuffed birdie here...mignon...
This little girl's dress is so sophisticated. It's got a 2-layered sheer skirt + a cutoff-sleeve WHITE cardigan? Not an ounce of PINK or BLUE ..
Mommy gets to wear gris/grey to the beach or is this underwear? Hard to tell...
Le Café de la Mairie 8, place Saint Sulpice, 75006 Tel : 01 43 26 67 82 Do you see anyone sitting here at Le Cafe de la Mairie decked out in RED, YELLOW, BLUE or Pomme Granny? No, all neutrals or shades there of. The red wine glasses add the needed touch of color and refreshment.
