  1. I just found your blog about a week ago. I'm in heaven here. Going to Paris is my big travel dream. One day, I'll get there. For now, I can travel in your blog.
I've read about Laduree many times and it is going to be one of the first places I go to for some delicious pastries.

  2. O.K., you need to shoot photos of French Bulldogs when you go to Paris this month. I saw that box at Ladurée with the Frenchie on it the last time I was there, and just couldn't justify parting with Euro 26.00 to buy it (Yes, I know it was full of good things). But it is my dog on the box. Please, look for Frenchies, for me!

  3. You, in the USA, have the best wedding cakes I have never seen! They should be displayed in the windows. Then, I would shoot them!Anyway, we will have une pyramide de macarons for my wedding!

    Very lush, feminine setting-Laduree is.
And a perfect backdrop for your adorable doggies.

That cup of tea looks so inviting.
Nothing wrong with 4 macarons to go with it as far as I can see.
A very affordable, luxe indulgence compared to crossing the threshold at Dior or YSL.
    YUM!

  18. Hi - I was in Paris last May. I last time I was there was 1975 !! Anyhow, my daughter and I were in Laduree near La Madeleine and there was indeed a chien under the neighboring table. Extremely well behaved bien sur. I really enjoy your work... Nancy

  22. I went to Laduree Bonaparte this morning! The windows were full of muguet (lily of the valley) for May 1. It was my inaugural visit and I never would have thought to go if I hadn't started reading your blog! We got a selection of macarons (and a strawberry bergamot charlotte as a palate cleanser) at Laduree and then walked down Rue Bonaparte and got a selection at Pierre Herme, and then had a taste-testing in Luxembourg Gardens. . . Laduree's rose flavor was the winner in our competition. . . but the results are probably skewed and warrant a second round. . . Anyway it was my favorite morning in Paris, so thanks for the inspiration!

    ReplyDelete
  26. SUSU! I ALWAYS get the same ole 4 macaron flavors too :)
    Caramel
    Framboise
    Citron
    cafe
Ca m'énerve but what can I do? I'm a creature of habit...

  30. Are you saying that you tried to entice Ozzie to Paris knowing that he would be EXCLUDED from Ladurie? Quelle horreure! (or maybe horreur?) I suppose I can't blame them...Ozzie is the consummate gentlemen but with such temptation....

  31. I love your "I dreamed my dog went to Laduree" watercolor and I am so wanting one of those pastries in your photographs right now...especially that chocolate-carmelized creation in your scarf post.

Ha Ha Ha, we were exactly sitting across from the fireplace at Laduree in August 08. Right after dinner after we got our check, we saw a couple of mouse rooming around by the fireplace!!!! C'est tres Paris I guess.

  35. I think Ozzie has been dreaming of going to Laduree! And NOT to have his portrait painted!
