Put A Bird On it

Adorable little chickie in La Mere Du Famille window.

And loads of chocolate eggs and nests as well.

Annick Goutal nestles parfums in green grass.

Au Nom de la Rose is showing greens for your petit balcon.

Spring is in the vitrines (butnot the air)in Paris. I bought a cardi at Monop.

 Paris adores Pantone springie colors.

You can color your life in Pantone completement.

 Pantonie kiddies shoes

Serious, sobre white gauzy Spring dresses from Jacadi.

Does Paris watch Portlandia? There are birds on everything?

The Easter bunnies have invaded Paris.

As have the chocolate chats at La Maison du Chocolat for Pacques.

Even Monoprix is showing it's Spring colors for yogurt!
Bien sur Pierre Herme has his Springie macaron colors on. Today is Jour du Macaron Day! Big report demain/tomorrow.

Birds of Paris

Birds of Paris, birds of London, birds of New York and possibly India(?) are raising a ruckus right now in my studio, though I can't think why? The AC is on high and no one is going hungry... Birds in London are upside down in the Underground at South Kensington station. Don't ask me why. I had nothing to do with it. Olha took me along to the Royal Academy Summer show and we started bird watching - there were many onsite. That started it.
Everafter I saw birds everywhere and wanting to bring them home, like this appropriately named plaster of Paris number on sale at Comptoir de Famille.

Paris Birds

Paris BlueBird Tea, watercolor
Here's another thing I saw all over Paris -BIRDS.

A tiny bluebird sitting atop a tarte aux Fraises at Maison Collet Woolie handmade birdies sitting in a shop window on rue Cherche du Midi... Decorating wine labels.. And wearing hats noless! This baby bird sign for Librairie Chantelivre, - a wonderful childrens book store. An ornathology drawing sits regally on a pillow on rue de Seine.. Or gracing the cover of this book. This is a new mini edition of a beautiful bird painting book.A bluebird holds the pen on this calligraphie instruction book I brought home..Birds are king in Paris.
And they will only nibble on crumbs from Pierre Herme! Actually they prefer the mini petit fours. Were they designed especially for Paris birds?

Mini Bla Bla Bla

New Pylones Piu-Piu in the house Announcement: NEW BIRD IN THE HOUSE!
This is Piu-Piu#1 from Pylones in Paris and acquired in 2006 And this is Piu-Piu #2
Bought to keep Piu-Piu#1 company.
The New love birdsAnd let me tell you these birds are inseparable!Of course it's true that these birds just happen to be magnetic...Ahem
Their main job is to collect metal paperclips =
They are "working birds"!
But these little guys are awfully fond of having tea with Pierre Herme desserts. In fact they've become regular slackers and refuse to mess with paperclips at all! Shocking is it not?
New mini tea setSo what's up with all this interest in mini this and mini that?
Mini tea sets and mini birds and mini desserts? Hmmm...
Provencal mini treasuresI'm trying to figure that out myself.
Did the attraction start in Provence or buying the 1st mini Eiffel Tower on a Paris street corner..?
L'Ile Flotantte on the Ile Saint-Louis Or at the petite boutique, L'Ile Flotantte on the Ile Saint-Louis.
I found myself taking pictures of mini nonsense everywhere...
This toy store on rue Cassette was loaded china sets even in the window. *Note the naughty drunken French pig at the table...
I meant to go back and buy one. I think with all the tough things going on in the real world, taking refuge in a mini perfect world seems like a pleasent escape at the moment...
Look! I spotted these mini fried eggs in my local 24-hour store in the Marais. Awfully silly and awfully sweet. Well they are candy after all...
BONJOUR MINIS!
