Brocantes et meanderings…

Yesterday I painted an imaginary sailboat ⛵️

Today at the Sunday
BROCANTE I found it!
Was it Karmic Destiny?

Maybe?

I was looking at a EUGÉNE BOUDIN book 📕

Boudin taught Claude Monet to paint 🎨

At Trouville-sur-mer among other places.

TROUVILLE is Lobster 🦞 Land.

At the brocante today I found a lobster 🦞

Was it a sign? Should I go back to Trouville? YES!

Then a red summer hat 👒

Red breakfast bowls on a red-checked tablecloth.

Makes you think of Bonnard…

So many

RED

Things today.

This post is meandering, like my brain 🧠 this week, post-heatwave = One big mush.

This week I was trying to paint rainy day figures

Like Monet did in his PONT NEUF painting.
So simple, just dabs of paint.
This week I got

The MONET PARIS LETTER

Out 📮

After many trials & errors.
Hooray! 🤸‍♂️
Tomorrow I will be at Musée Guimet (Thanks Suki)
for their excellent AC
And the last day of the K-Beauty exhibition.
KEEP COOL DEAR PBers  🥶

Did you buy the little sailboat at the Sunday Brocante? I could see you using it for future paintings. I love your Monet Paris letter! Enjoy the AC when viewing the K-Beauty exhibit. -Suzanne P.

    Karmic destiny?
A large sailboat flying a Canadian flag moored off our place last night. I thought our neighbors fireworks would drive (?) them away but they were still there this morning. Wouldn’t it be lovely?

Love your sailboat watercolor. Is it for sale in your Etsy shop? And is there a link to your Etsy shop in this post that I am somehow missing? Thank you.

  14. Super art and information this week! I love the sketch where you had Monet placed standing among his water lilies. Please remember that the Guimet is closed on Tuesdays, everyone. A haven of peace the rest of the summer days.

Carol, I saw your sailboat painting and had to have it! Can't wait for it to get here, get framed, and up on the wall of the beach house! Thank you from Portland and Gearhart Oregon.
