Le Bac À Glaces 🍨 with Shannon

Original watercolor 6” x 8”

Ice cream 🍨 is always a good 👍 idea

Even though I’m not supposed to have  much sugar=hives.

I met chef Charlotte Puckette with Sardine on Pont Sully

Just as I was racing to meet Shannon, (of divine Chocolate 🍫 classes in castles).

At Le Bac à Glace at 109, rue du Bac, 75007

A Quick Look

At the MENU…

And me, I’m thinking maybe I’ll have ONE small scoop of plain Vanilla…

While Shannon is thinking 🤔 of COUPE

PAVLOVA
….

Or a Coupe Melba…

Named after opera singer Nellie Melba 🎵(1861-1931)

Somehow I ate the better part of Both coups 😳 🍨 🍨

They serve nice minted water 💧 at Le Bac…which we both imbibed.

Awww… “the best laid plans of mice 🐭 and (wom)men”

Shannon took a picture of me hugging a girl’s best friend ❤️
I look Very happy 😃

I spent the weekend multi-painting 🎨 the elusive coupes 🍨 like Monet’s hay stacks.
With NO 🛑 ICE CREAM 🍦 breaks.
Do you have a favorite?

Plus swimming 🏊🏽‍♀️ at piscine Pontoise.
Between all the CHEESE 🧀 and all the ice cream 🍨 maybe I should go swimming 🏊🏽‍♀️ every day this week…
What do you think? 🤔

Oh Carol, you’re always so full of information!! Now I know where the name Peach Melba came from!! Your paintings are divine and that coupe on the Limoge plate is the stroke of brilliance! One which I will steal in the future! Shannon looks so beautiful as usual! Love from 🇨🇦

Dame Nellie Melba was an Australian operatic lyric coloratura soprano. She became one of the most famous singers of the late Victorian era and the early twentieth century, and was the first Australian to achieve international recognition as a classical musician.
*She took the pseudonym "Melba" from Melbourne, her home town.

They both look delicious. I love that you're including pictures of yourself more often and, of course, love seeing bear even if it's only the top of his head.
