Falling in love with a coffee cup doesn't seem very sensible...
Cafes RICHARD at Cafe Luco on blvd St. Michel Especially when you consider the other options out there...

Sugar cubes at cafe LucoFalling for a sugarcube / sucre morceaux makes no sense at all...

Love can be quite fickle, even if Valentines Day is over..

Blame it on Paris. That's all.

Lately I'm blaming Paris for just about everything...

You can blame it on Paris and we will blame it on Paris Breakfasts for OUR cravings you evoke here. ;-)

Thank you, Carol, for a lovely start to my day.

I'm forever falling in love with coffee cups and all the ritual and acoutrements of drinking coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

Your paintings and photographs beautifully capture the feelings of sitting in a cafe or even my own little breakfast nook and sipping a cup or bowl of something hot and delicious.

The photograph of the white cup and saucer with the spoon and sugar cube has inspired me to go into my own kitchen right now and create something wonderful to sip. I will take my time and great pleasure in picking out just the right vessel from which to sip.

I will blame it on Paris Breakfasts.

  6. Oh I think it's OK to fall in love with a coffee cup. Especially the one you have just painted - it's beautiful. I wonder who those two young ladies where.

Those sugar cubes are positively 3-d.
My grandmother used to have this silver fancy-schmancy-tongs thingie that you used to pick up sugar cubes, and so to see these cubes, they always make me think of fun tea parties with her...
I hardly ever buy sugar cubes, but there's something fun about pouring the tea over them and watching them dissolve!
