Aux Merveilles de Fred

 Word out!
Whipped cream/Chantilly is very IN in Paris.
The chateau de Chantilly is another matter.
According to Peter's Paris it is everywhere on top of everything. Peter is a 'Paris Greeter' and in the know.
We walzed through the 16th - rue de Passy et voila.
Aux Merveilles de Fred (the center of the whipped cream universe)
 29, rue de l’Annonciation 75016
Toute est creme et meringue
 Miam...Miam...
Peter bought a gateaux covered in chocolate flakes.
Inside?
Whipped cream of course.
I LOVED the adorable graphics + wall mural (not being a whipped cream fanatic).
Pierre Herme has embraced whipped cream passionately on a classic baba.
 Mon Dieu!
 I looked and admired...
 I resisted...
But I have until 29 April to succumb.
Who could resist this splendor?
Try out Paris Greeters next visit too.

      I think you are correct.
Like it says in Bringing Up Bebe,
French kids must take at least one bite of their spinach etc.
Same goes for whipped creme concoctions.

  9. French whipped cream is as light as air...and usually flavoured with some fab liquor...so I wouldn't resist......

  11. Is it too late to begin to behave like un bebe? As far as having to eat one bite of everything? :-)

  13. Carol, it's such fun following your explorations!

I first encountered the word chantilly ages ago on a visit to Brittany. It was part of a description of a dessert. I ordered that desset and quickly knew that I'd made a good choice.

    xo to you and Bear.

Oh Yum! No doubt they would be absolutely horrified at our Cool Whip! When I was a kid I loved Charlotte Russe...very whipped creamy treat...never see that anymore...here, at least.

  15. Oh, Holly and I tried a sampling of three in January and I will be back this week with my nose pressed to the glass, waiting my turn in line. So, my pâtissière, have you tried making any of these?
