Paris Macaron Boxes

Some stacked boxes, watercolor, 9" x 11"

What is it about macaron boxes? Can we ever get enough? Or are you only interested in the contents? Laduree Macaron Boxes - Paris BreakfastsI could look at pink boxes all day long...Laduree Macaron Boxes - Paris BreakfastsThe ribbony cartouche design was used on old wine labels. It was used on everything in 18th century French design. Doesn't it make you feel a bit like Marie-Antoinette - gobbling cookies and not thinking about the consequences.Laduree Macaron Boxes - Paris BreakfastsNotebooks to help us feel more like Marie-Antoinette...Laduree Macaron Boxes - Paris BreakfastsWhy didn't I buy this impractical green umbrella? Because I saw it my 1st day in Paris. You never buy anything on the 1st day. You always tell yourself you'll come back later..

  1. After reading your blog religiously, I finally took a trip to Paris last week. I've always wanted to go and feed my macaron-crave! :)
It was absolutely amazing. I screamed when I finally got to visit Ladurée (yes, they were surprised) and I bought three different boxes of macarons that are now in my kitchen for decorating-purposes. Empty, of course! Although I love my Fifi-boîte and the other classic boxes from Ladurée, I can't help but feeling a little bit depressed that my trip ended before these gorgeous Louboutin-boxes came out. So unfair!!! :P
Well, I guess there's only one thing a girl can do: go visit Paris again.

Thanks so much for your beautiful posts!

P.s. I hope my English is okay; I'm a Dutch girl, that explains why!

  3. When I have a bigger house, I'll collect all these fabulous boxes! First, I'll have to eat all the macarons, of course. I also love Christian Louboutin shoes!

When I was in Paris I forced my family to go to Laduree (they loved it of course). I obsessed over the gorgeous boxes and decor. I was about to steal a napkin when i found the business cards! beautiful. It is hanging on my wall for inspiration. I was wondering, have you ever tried to make macarons? My most recent try was a success. I think people overestimate how difficult they are to make.
Thank you for featuring one of my favorite things from Paris!

they are splendido....the classics I mean, not sure yet about the Louboutins. He is doing pretty well with shoes, perhaps he should stay true to his artform...

  18. I have just discovered your blog and am tres depressed to find that I missed the Louboutin boxes by just a few months. I took a trip to Paris at the end of May and visited Laduree three times in 8 days. While I did ooh and ah over the loveliness of their "classic" boxes, I am foaming at the mouth over the Louboutin boxes since I happen to be a shoe freak. Now I have the perfect excuse to get back!
