Chocolate-covered madeleines are so hard to paint 🎨
Yesterday I went to opening day of Imperial Chocolat 🍫
At Chateau Fontainebleau! An easy 30 minute train ride from Gare de Lyon + waiting bus directly to the chateau.
The Imperial Chocolate 🍫 Salon continues through Monday/Lundi so def go if you’re here! 👏 Entry - 9€.
I can never resist the vanilla seller.
And you can grab a crêpe before facing the chocolat.
I had a chocolat chaud from Frederic Cassel 👏 Fred is head chef of Imperial Chocolat 🍫
His shop in Fontainebleau at 71-73 rue Grand.
NOT TO BE MISSED!! Yum Yum I ate the checkerboard cookie (sablé Hollandais) 🍪 + a pain au pistache et chocolat (for dinner).
Les Chocolat de Frederic Cassel.
His Advent calendar of chateau de Fontainebleau.
I almost forgot CHOCOLATE (in a bottle) CHAMPAGNE 🍾!
They are at every holiday foodie event 🥳 So delish & you can’t buy it in any liquor stores 🤷♀️
At this point I was ready to head back to Gare de Fontainebleau. Bus 3401 is just across from the entrance gates.
I asked the driver if he might take us back to the gare…or better yet PARIS!? He laughed 😂
Chocolate 🍫 madeleines for breakfast ☕️
Do you ever stop??? Thanks for sharing all your exciting adventures with us! ❤️from🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteNO 😂 I can’t…addicted to Salons ❤️
DeleteAll so interesting and beautiful! The picture of the Seine is also stunning..have you considered a small book of them? There was another a few days ago that was so uplifting also. I am always in Paris in my mind no matter if I am here where the political news is awful.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteThere must be a million books 📚 on views of the Seine…
I don’t know how mine would stand up…but it’s a lovely idea 🤔
PS I Just want to say how lucky 🍀 I feel to live next to a river…much less THE SEINE ❤️ in Paris.
DeleteI wish I knew how to paint it…something I think about all the time…
PSS I have 1,500 SEINE photos = several books 📚 ❤️
DeleteNo I can’t…

I was there too on opening day and had a nice chat with the Chocolate in a Champagne bottle guy - you can order it online in the states! He said that the American army base in Germany is a big fan and when they return to the US they are the largest group of buyers. I'll be ordering it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's incredibly delicious.

ReplyDeleteCarol, you thoughtfully told us about this show when we were there in 2022. Do fabulous! I’ve purchased several bottles on line in the states. It’s the go to for special occasions! But it’s $50 here!
ReplyDeleteImport duty! Dommage. ❤️
DeleteI just looked it up - priced at $40 but sold out.
DeleteDear Sukicart, I just ordered from their website, just over $50 (tax, shipping and handling) for a bottle. I have the receipt! and am so looking forward. We'll toast to Paris Breakfasts when we drink...
ReplyDeleteI got Carol mail today! 🎉🎈 Your apple letter made my day! 🙏🏻❤️ I’m comparing apple varieties. 🍏 🍎 Very interesting! 🤔 Thank you, thank you❣️B.
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup, Carol!!! Your adventures, observations, and inquisitive soul are precious:) Thank you for sharing with us!!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Caro! Chocolat! ❤️
ReplyDeleteOf course there is a chocolate event in a castle in France! I like how you can prepare with crepes, etc before going into the chocolate. I’ve been to this castle and it’s very impressive, though my trip didn’t feature chocolate.
ReplyDeleteYour choices sound delicious!
