My favorite Venetian artist CANALETTO was well represented.
Thanks to Elaine Sciolino, I went next day to the annual Fête de la pêche 🐟 et de la Nature held on l'Ile de la Jatte in Lavalloise-Perret. Kids are taught or anyone for that matter how to fish 🐟

Oh Carol, how dazzling. I love that you sketched and painted with the muse of Canaletto! Pretty elegant!
ReplyDeleteAnother Canaletto fan.

Carol, can you share the shoe ideas? I have awful feet and love to walk too (not a good combination). Athletic shoes and Clarks clogs only go so far.....

I loved Venice - a truly romantic city.
ReplyDeleteI do too but I always wish I had read a good reference book before coming.

ReplyDeleteWhat fun you had. I love the slippers
ReplyDeleteSo tempting those velvet slippers...
DeleteDefinitely not walking shoes even if their base is made of old bicycle tires.
This post was Very Interesting to me because I am in the process of building a 12th scale Venetian themed dollhouse and gathering art books and music for both reference and inspiration, and your photo tour of the Eblouissante Venise exhibit was the next best thing to being there!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting!
DeleteI have 129 pictures on Flickr
Put Eblouissante venise in the search box to see them.

What a great exhibition! I’ve visited Venice once and loved it but agree it would be good to know more about it. Why play jazz at a Venice exhibition, I think something more fitting could have been chosen. (Picky music teacher coming through, ha ha).
ReplyDeleteWht jazz
DeleteI absolutely agree. Trying to be COOL French style?
