Back to Blue Willow

Blue Willow cup at Bergdorfs, watercolor on Etsy, 5.5" x 7.5"
Back to Blue...Willow. I popped into Bergdorfs 7th floor to admire the china.

This lovely tea set in their vintage china shop.

Then over to Tiny Doll House on 314 East 78th Street for something more managable...
And mini Wedgewood... Real Coalport seen on Madison Avenue... And mini Coalport at Tiny Doll House... They even have mini Staffordshire figures!I walked out with this Willow pattern ginger jar, side table (mahogany?), mirror and blue and white wallpaper!!!
BONNE JOURNEE!

  1. This post makes me very nostalgic, Carol. The blue willow is something I've always loved--the blue and white is such a soothing combination to me and makes me think of home. Your loose, lovely watercolor is perfect! And the things you selected in miniatures?--well--I have a little table like that and my table has a little hinge under the "top" that allows the table top to fold downward--they used to put those little tables off to the side, like near a fireplace, when not in use. I love it. The ginger jar is a big favorite of mine...wonderful!!! I love it.

We can never have enough of the blue, can we :-)

I was in Copenhagen this week-end, and a visit to Royal Copenhagen (china) was a must of course.

Oooooh--it's grandma's blue willow! I have a set of teacups, saucers, dessert dishes and a tablecloth of this from my grandmother.
It's one of my prized possessions...lovely, Carol!
