Breakfast in Paris

 

Yesterday Kirk asked me if I go out 

For breakfast everyday in Paris

I was a little surprised 

It’s true when I was a tourist 

I ate out most mornings

Sometimes I had TWO breakfasts 

Especially if I was doing 

Breakfast research 🔬 

And sketching ✏️ onsite

I am ALWAYS available for a breakfast ☕️ invitation 👍☺️

For coffee ☕️ or un verre de vin? 🍷 not so much…I barely drink either.

Breakfast may be one of the best things about Paris besides the Eiffel Tower, among other high points…

Do you have a favorite place for petit dejeuner in Paris?

Maybe you like to go fancy and take breakfast 

In a palace hotel like Hotel Meurice 

Or The Hotel Carlton Cannes? 

Sometimes it’s worth it to splurge a little on breakfast ☺️ ‘Bucket list’ time 🤸‍♂️ 👏

Or do you prefer a small nondescript Paris cafe?

Breakfast has become controversial. Once claimed the most important meal of the day, it’s been denigrated to a non-event. 

Some people don’t even bother. Some are on Intermittent Fasting and Keto regimes etc. Some will only have hot oatmeal with blueberries daily!

I was wondering…what did Napoleon eat for breakfast:

Boiled or poached eggs

An omelette

A small leg of mutton

A cutlet,

A filet of beef

Broiled breast of lamb

Or a chicken wing

Lentils, beans in a salad 

Wow! Occasionally I’ll have a hamburger 🍔 sans bun or small steak for breakfast. Now I know I’m in good company ☺️👍

Kirk was very forthcoming: 

my favorite breakfast is a veggie omelette egg whites, dry cappuccino. 

Hmm…probably not on the menu at Cafe Le Bonaparte.
