Pierre Herme Minis

While I was browsing through PIERRE HERME's web site I realized he does his own minis!
Yup! PH does petit fours!
AND you get 25 of these cuties for 23 Euros !
Weeeeeeeeee!
The box of Pierre Herme petit fours are included in the mini collection from Japan too! Sweet :)
Last trip I found myself taking pictures of "mini" petit fours everywhere.
These are from Dalloyau.
Boulangerie PAUL of course does mini petit fours.
And Gerard Mulot bien sur!
They're awfully cute and would make perfect still life objet to paint!
Research!
Look at this sweet mini set from Fauchon.
They always take the moderne geometric approach.
And don't forget the real minis at the mini boutique on Ile St.Louis!
Marie-Noelle send me this announcement of an upcoming miniature show in Paris...sigh on the 20th of Janvier...
And she also sent me this catalog page from PAIN d'EPICE in Paris.
Minis up the whazoo...have you had enough yet?

Je suis désolé. Silly question: are the minis edible? Or merely doll house recreations of the pastries we know and love? They are certainly charming and realistic looking. As always, PB looks great and makes me smile. Lovely photography, Madame.

  2. I was going to ask the same question as Monsieur Jambon. I would LOVE to have that silver tray of "mini" petit fours from Dalloyau sitting on my counter right now or better yet the Boulangerie PAUL mini petit fours below...If those are fakes Wow. Either way they are yummy looking.

  3. Brilliant blues blooming here! I would like a mini vacance to Paris to mini my way through these tantalizing tidbits! Love them. Maybe this is why, "French Women Don't Get Fat" ??? They left that out of the book. :) Devouring with eyes and wiping drool off monitor.
    All best, Jan

Your bird is adorable. But ok, forget the minis, I have to tell you, Carol, I actually broke down and got one of those Piu-Piu's, due to your bad influence! Now, he is singing up a storm over on my desk, with paperclips attached to his side like a diligent little guy. Cute little critter. Makes me smile. It's all your fault. (the devil made me do it)

Oh, if only I was born Parisiene then I would not have spent so many hours as a child scultping tiny pieces of food out of clay and then painting them for my dollhouse. I could have just gone to the Mini show.

  9. Its been a little bit over a month since I've been to Paris and I am craving baked goods like crazy!

Petit fours are delicious.. but not everything that looks tasty is in fact so. I'm more of a croissants, baguette et beurre type of girl :)

  13. Monsieur Jambon:
All these edibles are EDIBLE! Except the last one and the window display of tiny doll house goodies.
    Munch...munch...

    Cris in Oregon:
Frankly I think all of these Paris patisseries should follow in Pierre Herme's innovative footsteps and have miniatures made in Japan or where ever. That way we could spend every waking moment dreaming about their creations!

    Janice C. Cartier:
I wonder if that is how those Frenchies keep so trip? Eating only mini petit fours once in while... Are we the ones buying all the other divine big goodies?
    It's a mystery for sure!

    Melissa's Cozy Teacup and K&S:
Oh THANK YOU! It doesn't take much encouragement to keep on going with the miniatures. I'm hooked! :)

    Joan and Lyrically speaking:
That's the best compliment you could pay me that my watercolors are "delicious" !
    Big Merci

    Loveitaly:
Oh goodie! Another convert to Pylones Piu-piu! I'm toying with getting another believe it or not!?

    Dawn:
I'd love to know how to make my own minis...I've been looking at How-To books even...

    Pomegranate and Patchouli:
I know what you mean - nothing like a really good croissant with a bit of jam...YUM

    Imaginair':
    Merci for stopping by!

    betty c:
Thanks Betty. Playing with minis is almost as good as eating them...perhaps more fun, since they don't disappear and reappear on one's hips..

  15. My God! how can you show that???? I want all of them and particularly, those from PH. I love everything PH does. We took some macarons when we went back to NYC. Bur, I already miss all the French pastries.

Oh, heaven! No wonder they looked so real on Flickr! (see my comment!) There is no fooling the Mistress! Honestly, I'm gone for a week, and you've sailed right on past plastic mini pastries to the real thing! How's a gal to keep up?
And, by the way, have you done your homework?

  18. Those look completely heavenly. A piece of art, each one. I want some.
