Paris Sausage Walk, Guerlain Bleu

We were headed to PARIS SAUSAGE WALK on Champs-Élysées

When they threw everyone off Metro 1 at Châtelet. Quelle Horreur 😱
2 metro trains later - we made it! YAY
This pumpkin 🎃 coat was top drawer.

It was the 7th meeting of dachshund lovers ❤️ held at l’Arc de Triomphe for the first time.

3217 teckels or Dachshunds walked the ‘red carpet’ so to speak..

These jaunty little dogs 🐶 have such a friendly, sweet nature.

Totally pettable, whether short-hair, wire-hair or long-haired and so many variations.

Quite endearing ❤️
Meet 8-month old Bernie (named after Bernie Saunders) AKA Bernard.

His more mature buddy was well-dressed in a Bee 🐝 suit (10€)

Another Bee 🐝 outfit, perhaps home-made with a cherry 🍒 tart  chapeau 👒

A giant blow-up Dachsy brought along his own pup.

A super chic hound wearing a British Barbour-style kaki raincoat.

The belted ‘Trench Coat’ 🧥 look.

The ‘CROISSANT’ 🥐 Look!

Meet @Aios.miniween Such a beauty!

The chocolate bear 🐻 / Ourson Guimauve look.

The hotdog 🌭 look was especially popular.

An interloper Golden Retriever tried to pass, wearing the hotdog 🌭 suit.
No one was fooled.

I was hoping for a hotdog 🌭 stand,
but there was none 😢

You could buy
Sausage Walk bags, hats, pins. The Sausage Walk benefits Teckels Sans Doux Foyer, an association that rescues abandoned, mistreated and relinquished dachshunds, provides veterinary care & helps place them with adoptive families.

Guerlain
had a fancy stand offering drinks (10€)
Waffles 🧇 for dog walkers that looked quite tasty.

Getting inside Guerlain was not so easy.

Not having a small dog did not work in our favor.

Dachshunds looking for the

New ZARA John Galliano collection without luck 🍀

Adidas put out

A Photo station

Snacks included.

Teckels are well-behaved when it comes to snacks. Teckels do not throw food.
🐶
Do you hava a teckel/Dachshund?
I will paint your hound or cat 🐈‍⬛ in front of l’Arc de Triomphe…or Notre Dame.
You decide 🖼️

Such fun, Carol! And, Bernie Sanders of Vermont?? That pup owner has great taste! 😉 Glad to see the golden retriever there, they are the friendliest dogs. In fact a golden just made headlines in the Us for greeting a burglar at the door with her stuffed animal! ☺️

Fun post of adorable dogs. My father had a dachshound that would lie on his back and hold and drink from a bottle of beer.

I haven’t posted for awhile but eagerly look at you posts. You enjoy & post about other cultures. Have you considered So. Korea? If you’re not aware K-dramas (of which I’m a fan) are popular worldwide. I googled their popularity in Paris & the response: “Yes, they’re popular in Paris and across France….and is recognized as the fastest-growing K-drama fan community in Europe.” There are some Paris Korean events coming up in Sept that you can Google. If you want to view one, try the latest 12-episode “Four Hands Two Sonatas” on Netflix (if you get it there.). Ask a Korean, they’ll probably now where to find it. Ok, that’s my plug. Enjoy!
