Galerie Roger-Viollet, La Seine, Le Grand Colbert

On weekends, just like every tourist who crosses my bridge, Pont de Sully

I stop & take pictures of Parisians relaxing along the Seine. It’s addictive, especially in Summer

Looking for Mr Good Bird

I’m sitting on Bus 72 at around 5:30 pm, plotting my pursuit of le petit rouge-gorge/robin (European not American)

Only then do I notice it says,
Exclusivité web, non vendu en magasin’ /
Exclusively on the web, not sold in store 😵‍💫

Rouge Gorge & Watercolor Sale

Supposedly there are many robins in France but I have yet to see any (along with squirrels/l’ésquirul)

BHV was supposed to have this felt robin but when I went in they said I would have to order it & come back the next day to pick it up. Of course I never did & that was months ago…

Tuesday in Paris, Cafe Verlet, Maison Plisson

How did they know? I was seated next to the lush pastries in the window at Cafe Verlet.

I only admired from a distance. Too early in the morning for sweets I thought…though someone else was intrepid and had an eclair for breakfast! All delights from Carl Marletti

Jeudi 15 Juin, Jardin du Luxembourg, Gazpacho, Les Prés d’Eugénie

This is what we do in Paris when it gets hot - close the shutters early to trap the morning cool air.

I’m still in Liz’s teacup class, still painting teacups ☕️

Yesterday in Paris

Yesterday as I was leaving for the Piscine 🏊 Saint-Merri at noon, this French tour group was studying the back of my heritage building

Our building was designed by renown 17th century king’s architect Louis le Vau, creator of Chateau Vaux le Vicomte, l’Institut de France, Versailles, and a portion of the Louvre.

Francoise Gillot Homage

Francois Gillot died this week at 101. I wanted to remember her with this Parisbreakfast repost from 2012
What a tremendous woman and artist.
I visited the exhibit Picasso and Francoise Gilot:Paris - Vallauris, 1943-1953 at Gagosian Gallery 980 Madison Avenue

A big collection of gorgeous old photos, paintings, drawings, prints by both Picasso and Gilot.

Vide Grenier, rue des Fossés Saint Bernard et Place Jussieu.

Sunday I tried on this straw boater at the monthly Vide Grenier & it was a little big

After Solli tried it on and found it a little small
