Yesterday I ran to get stamps

Yesterday I ran to get stamps for your PARIS LETTER πŸ’Œ

Japanese Cheesecake at Takumi.
And as usual, wandered around a bit,
Exploring through Galeries Lafayette
And Galeries Lafayette Maison. Are blackberries/MΓ»re IN?
Picard just got them(2.80€) and I’m loving them for breakfast instead of boring old blueberries 🫐
I know they’re rich in anthocyanines.
Anyone else addicted to HEALTHY IMMUNE DOC? She tells you twice a week on youtube what to eat and what not to eat to live forever and uses a lot of unpronounceable scientific words that make you feel very smart 🧠
The Doc would not approve of this find πŸ‘Ž
Nor this. I resisted both
And got this πŸ™€ an old favorite, Chausson aux pommes 🍎 Everyone knows Apples are loaded with glutathione. The Doc eats 1 - 3 apples a day she says…
Across the street PRINTEMPS department store is celebrating πŸ₯³ 160 ans in business!
Their windows were not thrilling…
In my opinion.
But I LOVED their Morris Column ,
With vintage
Printemps posters
Wrapped around it. I wish Printemps had more vintage things instore but maybe with Parisians already en vacance they didn’t bother 🀷🏻‍♀️
After the stamp store I looked in Illy CafΓ© - such beautiful big cups!
At least
An addiction to cups is sugar-free πŸ™ The Doc would approve πŸ‘
No swimming 🏊 in the Seine today. Too much rain ☔️

They used to be .98 centimes when I started.
Now International costs 1,97€ a piece.

I love that Doc. Stumbled on her on YouTube. Lived in Paris as a kid. I know it's totally different now, but I miss it.

The Doc is addictive…until she isn’t. She throws around so many big words.

      Paris is highly missable ❤️
Lots has changed even since I moved here. But some things remain the same ❤️

I started following her today. I also follow Dr. Greger, nutritionist at nutritionfacts.org. He follows eye opening health research studies.

They both helped me go vegetarian.
      Dr. Greger is wild!

No they are divine individual cheesecakes from Takumi at Pyramides.
I always buy their 3-pack of matcha madeleines.

Do you also swim in the Seine?

Not yet. I think it’s only open on weekends
And the torrential intermittent rains stir things up so it is not ideal 🏊

I too thought those were Γ©clairs. Always good to read the labels. No surprises when you take a bite! Very pretty cheesecakes.

I have blueberries in my morning oatmeal and blackberries in my mid-morning yogurt…delish! I also prefer mure in a kir, rather than casis.

You eat so healthy, Carol. You should host your own YouTube shows on healthy eating. And, be sure to include chausson aux pommes! 🍎

I’m glad I have the camera/iPad between me and what I’m browsing. Temptationa are rampant in Paris. Requires daily vigilance. Sometimes temptation wins 😬

Blackberries have always been my favorite - growing up we used to pick them across the road from our cabin on the Mississippi and they were so sweet and delicious, great memories.

"The Printemps is the smile of Paris!" (vintage poster) As usual, your post provided many out-loud laughs. Thank you for getting my day off to a good start, Carol.

  10. Fun trip to get stamps, with so many interesting things along the way. I love blackberries too but they’re harder to come by here in Australia.
