Solli’s Cherry ๐Ÿ’ Cheesecake

Cherry cheesecake on Etsy
Yesterday Bonnie said, “Have you been to the new Ritz Le Comptoir on 45, rue de Sรฉvres?”

I said, “It’s 97 degrees out, feels like 103! No way I’m going back out into that oven!”
Then SOLLI called and said, “I just made a cherry ๐Ÿ’ cheesecake for a video in the studio. Want some?”
I threw on some clothes and ran ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️ out the door ๐Ÿ˜€
I might as well check out the new Ritz Comptoir.
It’s on the way.
I know it’s clever how they have taken the ‘plain vanilla’ classic Madeleine
And created the pants out of it etc. I am not in love with this Madeleine tote bag.

Eclairs made out of cake dough not chou pastry ๐Ÿ™„
It’s true their Ritz bear is very nice
But the supposedly Summer strawberry ๐Ÿ“ desserts looked triste.
I went across to Grand Epicerie for comparative analysis ๐Ÿง
‘HELLO SUMMER’
This is more like it ! ๐Ÿ“
The pinky Rosรฉs are back
In the street something fashiony was happening at Balenciaga. Straw bags are back.
A guy in a denim skirt…
At the post office, short lacy pantaloons.
I was supposed to go to Rick Owens preview at Palais Galliera but it was too damn hot ๐Ÿฅต
Cherry ๐Ÿ’ cheesecake red in the street.
At last I reach Solli’s studio - giant black cherries await ๐Ÿ’
Ta Da !
The cheesecake is made with Mascarpone and white chocolate. The crumble crust is Normandy Sarrasin (buckwheat) cookies instead of the usual sablรฉ = less sugary, more nutty flavor + 7.8 grams of protein (!) if you eat the whole box ๐Ÿ˜€
The pouring of the red fruits coulis..my hands are shaky
Nothing like homemade/fait maison is there?
Yum
๐Ÿ’ Thank You SOLLI ❤️
Which Summer dessert would you choose?
Then the skies turned dark and Paris was deluged with a huge downpour. I sat in the subway station till it subsided.
I had no umbrella ๐ŸŒ‚ naturally

What a wonderful day, thanks for taking us with you! We didn’t notice the heat at all! The cheesecake looks amazing, but that plate is the real stunner!!! Perhaps Solli could share the designer? ๐Ÿ˜˜from๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

The plate is strictly from just about any flea here.
Believe me the cake is much better ๐Ÿ‘

Wow! Is there anything Solli can’t do? She is an amazingly talented photographer, and she bakes?? I would have hurried across town in the heat for that cheesecake too! ๐Ÿ’
Glad you made it home through the storm. The storm was so severe it made the news: 2 dead, 17 injured, and the roof of the National Assembly leaked while it was in session. Wild!

Solli does many cooking process videos, but she has been cooking since she was a child with love ❤️

I recently went to the Legion of Honor in San Francisco for the exhibit "Wayne Thiebaud and the Art of Reinterpretation." Some of his work reminded me of yours. This cheesecake is a good example of why I thought of you when looking at much of his work.

The Grand Epicerie wins hands down, looks like the Ritz doesn’t even come close. So glad you found shelter from that storm - looks like it was a really bad one.
