Salon du Chocolat 2

I returned to the Salon du chocolat this morning (9:55 at opening time).
Mainly because I ate ๐Ÿ˜‹ all the samples I collected to give my copyshop guy from opening night.

These things happen. Chocolates ๐Ÿซfor breakfast Yum Yum ๐Ÿฟ️
I started with the ground floor - all the exotic chocolate sources
Like Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Cรดte d’Ivoire…
Background music for downstairs.
Lots of color
Lots of passion ❤️
Don’t think you can eat/sample & run ๐Ÿƒ‍♂️
Chocolate ๐Ÿซ makers want to tell you
Everything about their product in detail ๐Ÿ‘Œso you can make informed choices.
I got to inform this chocolate ๐Ÿซ maker, that it should say BEAN TO BAR…not BEEN TO BAR ๐Ÿ™€ Quelle surprise ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Hawaii always has beautiful packaging.
You can stock up on vanilla beans direct from Madagascar
And great hunks of cocoa butter.
You could deck yourself out in cocoa bean ๐Ÿซ˜ earrings!
Or cocoa bean prints from Brazil.
The best thing I tasted both visits -> these chocolate pre-dipped Madeleines served with lashings of hot chocolate on top! (2€)
A deep dive into that pot of chocolate ๐Ÿซ  Sugar is not a top note๐ŸŽต
The intense dark chocolate provides all the singing.
I went back upstairs for another look around.
Mobbed. It’s the start of a major school break for kids.
If you’re into Paris style pastry, upstairs is for you.
I took a break at the pastry demo in the back. Did I snooze ๐Ÿ˜ด through the sample tasting? I did ๐Ÿ™„
Yesterday I couldn’t believe my eyes ๐Ÿ‘️ The longest line ever for Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ costumes!
Lastly a number of pastry ‘hamburgers’ ๐Ÿ” in the show
Look pretty close to the burgers in the Metro don’t you think ?

It’s definitely worth You get to experience another side of Parisians. Residents and families. Not the chic or elegant at these events. And very relaxed.

Just a general comment and a question: first, I so admire your chutzpah in moving to Paris and second, how much French do you speak at this point? Thanks so much for giving us these wonderful glimpses into our favorite city!
