We went back to SIAL yesterday after a day of deep-induced sleep π€ therapy, cold showers & ice π§ bucket immersions. I don’t think it was enough…
Solli and I tasted everything bio
From BioOrto, an Italian company whose products she buys in Italy. Totally yummy π
Solli has her food photography in an exhibition at SIAL! π₯
I Loved ❤️ the Roquefort gelato. Sadly they did not bring their chΓ¨vre π or Camembert flavors to the show π§
There is always one company’s bag hotly sought after - from French olive oil Terra Delyssa. Neither of us snagged one π€·♀️
Ha! There are no ‘quick looks’ anywhere at SIAL.
SIAL is the biggest food show worldwide held biannually. Start planning for October 2026 now. Although unless you are a food professional you probably won’t get in. We both came home exhausted (I left early). And today we were wishing we could go back π€ I think I’ll take up boxing π₯ pre-SIAL πͺ
Thanks Carol for taking us along! What fun!
ReplyDeleteYou’re welcome Sue H. I didn’t begin to show all the new innovative products presented like Bio oatmeal ice cream Solli said was great! R the cocoa infusion tea ☕️ I have to try out. So much food - so little time ⏰
DeleteBrava, Carol, for surviving two days of SIAL! It’s so nice to see all of your photos to get an indication of what it was like for us non-food professionals. Hope you scored a bunch of samples to fortify you on your recovery day! Love this post!
ReplyDeleteNot so many samples brought home…but (too) many cookies etc. in my tummy !
DeleteI spy my favorite French food product…jars of dried mushrooms. I bring those home every trip to France! Quel choix !
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I saw those huge jars π
DeleteWere there any butter sculptures there? The Iowa State Fair has life size butter cow sculptures every year. A must see.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I don’t think so. They are more interested in selling products than contests.
DeleteI THINK WE REALLY NEED TO BE THERE!!! BUT THANKS FOR THE TASTE!!! GLAD YOU HAVE SOLLI! CARLA
ReplyDeleteSo different from 2020, just post COVID when you took me and they restricted samples ! I can see, smell, and taste all these flavors with you now!
ReplyDeleteThat was MADE IN FRANCE Ann, another foodie extravaganza! It’s coming up in November.
DeleteThanks for braving it to bring us all the info and pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis one took an unexpected toll - today in bed recovering & sniffles π’
DeleteWhat a delightful recap of SIAL Paris 2024! The insights into the food trends and innovative products are truly inspiring. It’s amazing to see how the industry is evolving. Nadia A
ReplyDeleteThank you Nadia
DeleteThanks for going back, I’m interested in the Roquefort gelato!? You need a few days off to chill after all the people and tasty food, like Christmas!
