You can’t go wrong starting at Le Grand Epicerie on 38, rue de Sévres. Their giant chocolate egg (495€)
Parisians were out en masse, hunting eggs for Sunday Easter baskets 🧺
I was thrilled to see their beautiful bunny in person (25€)
It’s fun to people browse in Grand Epicerie. Seen at the truffle lunch counter, tout en blanc. Bonnie, who reads all the Paris blogs, reports WHITE IS IN for Spring 👍
She must be right. Later on I saw white pants on rue Raspail.
Yes, the little French girl is wearing a Chanel chain purse 👛 Bonnie told me, Mom’s purse was Chloé Celine Triomphe. Big Merci Bonnie
Time to wander down Rue du Bac & browse Paris’ best chocolatiers.

Chapon was too crowded for browsing. It looked fierce in there.
Flower shopping along rue du Bac was calmer.
Did I buy any Easter chocolate yesterday?
No. I ended up buying a sought-after chou rouge/red cabbage (to make coleslaw) in this beautiful veg shop at #107. Their arrangements are such beautiful still lives. And the only place that would sell me 1/2 a chou. Most chou rouge are 1-2 kilos in the marché 💪 I discovered holiday browsing in Paris is best done well in advance. Last-minute looking is fun when you don’t need to buy. Do you agree? I hope you enjoyed strolling down rue du Bac with me. Thanks for reading & sharing Parisbreakfast. DeleteFifteen years ago I took my granddaughter to Paris for Easter. Sunday morning someone from the hotel rang our doorbell and gave us one of the big eggs filled with smaller chocolates. We had a magical week! Happy Easter!

Yikes! Sorry to have steered you wrong on the purse…definitely a Celine Triomphe! We stayed in an apartment across from Celine’s corporate headquarters last trip. I have had my eye on that purse for a while…even went into the Celine shop at CDG on my way out of town to scope them out! Maybe next time!! 😉
