Bear goes to le Cafe Marly

On Wednesday Bear decided to go to le Café Marly for breakfast at the Louvre.

Enter the Louvre at 93 rue de Rivoli.

Go straight through the tunnel towards the pyramid.

Then sharp right to the arcade for Le Café. This was my first time. It has a swanky reputation.

Breakfast is def less intimidating everywhere in Paris. A good one to try is Angelina. Empty and no lines. Bear ordered ‘le Tradition’.

Your basic cuppa + juice + viennoisseries + jam. If you want water, ask for it.

And a straw to drink the OJ. Protect that enamel! All for 19€.

Remember nice views costs. And yes I brought the jam home.

And sit in the exterior section but keep your coat on. Its chilly.

There are some new Chanel watercolors in my Etsy Shop. Do have a look. Stay safe dear PBers ❤️🐻 It will be curfew time for Bear soon. Zzzzzzzz

  1. I’ve never heard of Café Marly-it does look very swanky...Bear has good taste, non? Beautiful photos. I will add to my list of of “go-to’s”

  2. Ah...Bear sure does know how to live! My favorite time to sit on the terrace of the Marly is at sunset. As the sun sets over the Arc du Carousel and the lights slowly come up in the pyramids. It’s magical. The interior dining rooms are quite beautiful too, especially if you can snag a table by the windows looking into the interior sculpture garden of the Louvre at the Marly Horses. What I wouldn’t give to be in Paris again!

Loving your Chanel series of watercolors❣️

  8. Glad you’re out and about. It’s getting harder and harder to find warm terraces, isn’t it. My new go to place is Le Comptoir at Odeon. But, you’re right, that Café Marly has nice views. You’re photos were wonderful.

  13. What a truly wonderful edition of PB! Made my heart ache with longing to be there--October is my month to be in Paris (for the last 18 years). You did a great job with the photos, and I DID note the pigeon! Good job, Carol!

  15. Very elegant for you and Bear! Yes, you pay for the view but what a view! Please stay well and careful. It's ramped up here, too but we're not smart enough to do curfews.

  19. I love Café Marly. We try to go once every time we go to Paris and to the place in the Orsay too. They are spendy but a nice tradition for us nevertheless.
I want to go to the place in the Gare Lyon someday too…
