Even though he missed our new first lady (to be)...
And even though he missed this polar bear coat I spotted a year ago in FOA Schwartz...
Just the mention of winter whites makes me remember this fab polar bear poster in the Paris Metro...
Getting back to why I went to see the bears yesterday...
Bill showed these amazing huge polar bears that appear annually in Linda Horn's Xmas windows...
So of course I had to venture out to see them didn't I? So I could report back to y'all?
And as synchronicity would have it, don't you know PBS Nature Series last night featured Artic POLAR BEARS!!!
Did you know a polar bear's nose is better at sniffing out smells that a Blood hound?
And that the average polar bear weighs in at 1000 pounds, but her new born baby weighs only ONE pound?
Please new Pres-elect - lets not forget about saving the polar bears, among the thousand or so pressing issues you have on your to-do list!

We are loosing a lot of bears Carol because the antarctic is melting and they need it cold and icy.
ReplyDeleteWe had a super tv program last week about them and they were putting them in crates and air lifting them hundreds of miles away. They must be shocked when there let out as they not were they had been as they stay the same place since birth and just wander of to get food so imagine your horror when your house has gone and your local shop gone bust,

ReplyDeleteI once saw a special on polar bears....did you know that when they hunt, they crouch down and COVER their black noses with their paws...all the better to blend in with the snow - like a little drift of snow until they pounce!

1) I found a Polar bear with wings in a music shop? I guess they need the wings to make it quickly out of town once the big thaw comes around;
2) the Viennese Schönbrunn Zoo has Polar bears? No wings, though. Not yet. ;-)
