Let's Pretend...

Champagne,watercolor 5.5" x 7.5

Did you know you can buy your Champagne at a patisserie?
Laduree Yup, it's true.
Laduree While we're at it why not dream a little...shall we pick up a few CHATEAU BLANC macarons?
Bien sur a piece montee de macarons.
Laduree Some jam for the morning after...ahem A touch of perfume CHATEAU BLANC certainment.A few romantic perfumed bougies/candles...Laduree I'll take these. Who cares what's inside. These too.
Laduree Just wrap up the whole CHATEAU BLANC window.
Put everything in this petit bag/sac...
LadureeAu revoir from CHATEAU BLANC et BONNE ANNEE!

  1. Love the champagne glasses and ribbons, Carol. I didn't know they sold some of those things, too. It's a beautiful sunny day here today, and a bright blue sky--we've had dreary grays for a few days, so the weather and your lovely post have cheered me up. Happy New Year to you, too!

May 2009 find you with a smile upon your face, with a paintbrush in one hand and a pink macron in the other!

I admit the 48 hour notice could be a sticking point...but as long as we're dreaming, let's dream that we placed the order 48 hours ago! That packaging! Could it be any better???
Wishing you a Happy New Year!

I stood once on the bridge in the early morning mist, in the arms of a man who's embrace lingers even decades later with fervent effect. He whispered I love you and my soul whispered back, "I am home at last".

Your column is like a lifeline to the city I adore. I come here often to escape the drudgery of real life and get lost for awhile in the imagery and words bringing me home once again.

I am bringing my daughter and niece to Paris in October. They are just 24 and I think at the perfect age to be enchanted and appreciative of her magic.

Thank you for your words and your journeys shared.
