The other day as I was browsing through Di's Ghost Furniture.
I was reminded of.
The finiancier I ate at Mariage Freres...
And all the lovely madeleines...
I encountered...
In Paris...YUM 
That old remembrances of things past came floating back...
These tea tins at Mariage Freres on rue du Bourg-Tibourg.
Even these brand new tea tins from Pierre Herme came to mind! Did you know he has tea now, to go with his madeleines? Does Pierre Herme even make madeleines? I forget...but he does make the best damn macarons on the planet! And you could certainly have tea with them. That's what happens when you look at Di's patisserie shells...

Look at those brilliant bright tea canisters from Pierre Herme. Makes me want to bite into a madeleine and drift away. Could be because I haven't had my morning's cup yet. It could be that I just want to jmp into any frame on this page. :)

The dangers of reading your blog at bedtime - last night I dreamt of macarons, jam jars and cups of tea - all in lush settings (basically, living in one of your photographs). Woke up SO hungry!
ReplyDeleteI am now reading your blog in the middle of the afternoon! Not too long after lunch. I feel it's safer that way...
Alas! My yummy macarons are long gone...I was not able to dole them out one by one as many sensible people would. No, I wolfed them down in just 2 sittings! That did, however, give me the (temporary) feeling of richesse. And now it is summer in Kansas: for "summer" read "95% humidity" and only the foolhardy would attempt a macaron baking session now.....

Love this little tea shop! Visited MF last year with mon Pierre...bought the book, drank the tea (Latin Lover!!!!!!!!) and ate the pastry. Fantastique!!!!
