To Trouville-sur-mer

I left the house at 6:02 Two of my 3 alarms ⏰ went off at 5:00 am πŸ‘

I am on Metro ligne 7 at 6:14 am

A quick change at Pyramid to ligne 14

My Train for Trouville-sur-mer is 7:27 I’m back in Paris on Friday.
at Gare St-
Lazar
The same train station Claude Monet sketched.
And then painted. In January 1877 Monet rented a small flat & studio near Gare St-Lazare. In the third Impressionist exhibition which opened in April of that year, he exhibited 7 canvases of Saint Lazare station.

I always buy a pack of madeleines at the Relay comme d’hab before a trip. A lucky πŸ€ token
Boarding the Normandie trains is at the back near the big map.
Boarding time (always 20 min before departure). Don’t wait till the last minuteπŸ‘ You may have to walk a mile to your train 🚊
All aboard!
I have one of those seats all the way in the back on the upper level πŸ™„
Trip food: Always a boiled egg, my new Monop water bottle + les madeleines
Bonjour Normandie πŸ‘‹
Not as glamorous as pictures in MAISONS NORMANDIE I bought at the Relay in the station.
Voila!
Another view of the Gare de Trouville from a 20’s train poster. Trouville is off to the left over the bridge.
There is a big Samedi marchΓ© along the quai
In Trouville
Maybe a coffee?
A quick look at Halles des Poissonieres setting up their goods. Yum Yum
Then to Village
Gypsy for a breakfast rhubarbe clafoutis.
I’m Carol Gillott, an artist living in Paris. Every month I send out beautifully illustrated letters πŸ’Œthat capture the true Parisian experience.
Thanks for reading PB ❤️
☕️ If you’d like to support my work, you can buy me a KO-FI here  ☕️  ❤️ Thanks so much!  ❤️
I wish you could hear πŸ‘‚ the seagulls & smell πŸ‘ƒ the briny sea 🌊

I admire you for your early start! It is so hard for me to get up that early in the morning. Hope you have a wonderful trip and are inspired to paint many beautiful scenes. Maybe indulge in a few new supplies on your trip, mementoes of the day. πŸ₯°

A fun read Carol - the train adventure and all the happenings - reminded me of early morning day-trip train rides to visit various chateaux in Zone 5 outside central Paris. - Thanks you.

There is hardly anyone in the stations. Do they get up late. Love the stations. Love the area too. Lynne
