Creating the Eiffel Tower cat letter

Imagine strawberry ๐Ÿ“balloons floating around the Eiffel tower…even though Bonnie said,”Strawberries are so over” at least in VT

It all  started with a chocolate bar I bought in La Grande Epicerie..(a great source of inspiration for me and for extra calories).

Then Imagine Monet figures picnicking on the ground under the Eiffel Tower.

Then I switched to Paris rooftops

Why not use the view out my window? But move in closer…

Have Parisians celebrating Bastille Day, hanging out their windows.

Think Hitchcock’s Rear Window

There must be Parisian cats

I looked at a lot of cat pictures.

I drew a lot of Paris cats. I even thought of going to the cat cafe..should I go?

I went out looking at Parisian balcons.

I drew cats sitting on balconies, in windows to get warmed up. Why not just show cats and forget the Parisians?

I checked out George Herriman’s Krazy Kat for more inspiration.

Monday morning I woke up, got out of bed and knew I Must put Cats front and center in the picture. The Cats stay in the picture!

On a side note, the pandemic turned some of us ‘dog people’ into ‘Cat People’. Silly cat videos saved many a day for me. How about you? Thank you Cat Navi Desk ❤️๐Ÿˆ‍⬛

But what to put in the sky around the Eiffel Tower? How to draw✏️ fire works?

Again Google saved the day again/comme d’habitude๐ŸŽ‰  It was ‘a long and winding road’ from  chocolate bar๐Ÿซ to floating strawberries ๐Ÿ“ to cats ๐Ÿˆ‍⬛ to get the letter art to the finish line but I did it. Hip hip Hooray๐Ÿคธ‍♂️๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿฅ‚ ๐Ÿพ
๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทBonne Fete Nationale 14 Juillet dear PBers ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

The new Paris letter is up on Etsy waiting for you

                 ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ“ ❤️ X X X ❤️ ๐Ÿ“ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

  8. I like the idea of the strawberry balloons. Just turn them upside down and add green stems for ribbons.

  13. Bonnie, it is hard to go outside some days. 97 degree yesterday & I did not make it outside. Fortunately I bought plenty of cherries ๐Ÿ’ and bubbly water the day before..
The view out my window is as tempting as any boulangerie vitrine ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ

Marsi M I put up some CAT WATERCOLORS on Etsy ๐Ÿˆ‍⬛๐Ÿˆ‍⬛๐Ÿˆ‍⬛

The creative process can be painful but ridiculously funny when looking back what I put myself through.

The cats and rooftops made me think of Cary Grant as John Robie aka “the Cat” in another great Hitchcock movie, “To Catch a Thief!”
