Picasso Mania - Grand Palais

Its that time of the month...when Paris exhibits start closing and I get on my running shoes.
'Un Certain regard' is the name of an award at the May film festival
For me it's that intense look artists like Picasso, Van Gogh and Dali have.
Clearly Bear and I do not have it.
Picasso had it from the get-go.
When you walk into Picasso Mania at the Grand Palais (you have until the end of the month) you'll meet 20 talking heads telling you how Picasso influenced them.
Inside the exhibit plenty of artist's portrait homage to Picasso. The late Basquiet saw Picasso a lot like like himself.
David Hockney admits a huge debt to Picasso and its ongoing.
Martin Kippenberger was enthralled with Picasso's big white underpants. He photographed himself in matching attire.
Maurice Cattelan made this fierce portrait sculpture.
Vacuum cleaners as full frontal ethnic heads by Romuald Hazoume.
The guide jumped out of Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon?
Small studies for Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.
The look.
Many portraits lined up in Picasso's stairway - terrific way to display them.
Walls full of portraits
Photos and videos of Picasso are plentiful, here with Francoise Gillot
The Look - Picasso with his wife Jacqueline.
In the Picasso Mania gift shop, an intimidating Dali sketchbook
In the Metro, a wall-size Van Gogh's look stops you in your tracks.
Still in the Metro, Cerise, the prize vache for upcoming Salon de l'Agriculture has 'The Look'.
Bet she paints in her spare time..or full-time?

Shhhhhh...it's Vincent all the way, for me. His eyes are so magnetic that they make me overlook the red beard (idk). Poor V., the world was never meant for one so beautiful as you.

  11. MAURICE CATTELAN is the giant sculpture artist. He had a monumental exhibit at the Guggenheim some years ago.
