BEAR'S Last Day in Paris

BEAR is safely home in New York YAY!
Our last day in Paris was drizzly, overcast. Sunday, so no one was out which is always nice :) BEAR decided we must do a last quick run to Champs-Elysees. L'Arc de Triomphe. Crazy Parisian runners in the rain.
Last Parisien dog and a big one!
 Easter bears in a window.
Inside a not so dreamy 30-minute wait
For gooey pastries.
We waited 30 min only so BEAR could take a last Metro ride in a pastry bag.
BEAR suggested we take AirFrance Bus to Charles de Gaulle Airport since it's faster then the RoisseyBus especially if you go on Sunday morning.
We got there in 20 minutes with loads of time to browse duty-free.
BEAR badly wants a 'I was in Moulin Rouge' T-shirt.
I wanted a 'I was in Hermes' something or other.
We both wanted Hediards macarons.
In red boxes.
And Dalloyau's macarons.
BONJOUR HOME!

  6. .. sniff sniff ... well, time to plan for next trip ... I MUST tell you how much I listen to those Ines little RV snippets that you had on your post one day (ordered the book of course) but just today I played a few, and they put you in such a darn good mood. Thanks so much, Carol ... you are a gem.

  23. Welcome home to you, Carol and Bear.

That last day, those last hours in a faraway place are so precious. I always felt so reluctant to leave a place I loved visiting and just wanted to absorb a bit more to take home with me.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your trip. xo

  24. I can completely relate to that bitter-sweet scurry around a city..knowing that you have to leave soon. Well it looks like you had a fun time, and bear did too, and we're glad to read that you're back home safely. As always, those laudrée treats look tempting and I think I would have probably waited the 30 minutes for one of those dreamy creations ;)

  26. Welcome back to you and Bear! What a lovely last day in Paris - even Paris in the rain is better than still snow on the ground in Minnesota.

Sounds like you had a gorgeous trip, Carol. Looking forward to hear more about it!

(P.S. I've been techy while you were gone - check out my new photos and videos!)

  27. Beautiful pics. Do you like Harriet Welty Rochefort's books (French Toast and French Fried)? You can google her. An American married to a Frenchman, and tells about her life. So wonderful!
