Today - a Springie collection of blooming flowers in Paris. Mondrian's studio and artworks are on view at the Pompidou Center till 21st March. I found this Lotus flower displaying jewelry in the Rodin Museum gift shop - is it real? Hmmm... But Victoire de Castellane's flower jewels are still at the Gagosian Galerie until the 22nd.Photo by Oriannez

Edible flowers at Larnicol Chocolaterie - getting ready for Easter?
Plus a palette of flower-colored macarons at 132 Blvd. Saint-Germain.
You can color your own ballerinas at IdbyMe and pick the materials + trimmings as well. Who knew?
H&M Paris is featuring a pink posey dress according to Do It In Paris.
French gardening books anyone? Then don't miss the huge Salon du Livre that starts this Friday.
I've always wanted to indulge in a bouquet at Aquarelle on rue de Buci. Maybe the time has come to...
JUST DO IT! Where there are flowers, there are bound to be a few bugs. The Musee Les Arts Decoratifs is showing 100 years of Vilac wooden toys. I won't miss this one.
BONJOUR PARIS FLOWERS!

  2. AM I imagining that the bug toy runs on macaron wheels?

  9. That dress is adorable! Alas, it's too short for me to wear when I play the harp, so you'll have to get it and wear it around to Parisian patisseries - pretty please!

  13. Three more Venice things, which sound touristy but aren't really:

If you're never done it, take the elevator to the top of the Campinale - for the view - but check the bell schedule first - if you're up there when they ring, it hurts - trust me

Across the way, the Doge's Palace has a (guided only) tour of the off-limits top floors - the spiel is very touristy, but what you see isn't, including the amazing framing that holds up the ceiling of the major rooms below - called "The Secret Tour" - and you get free entry to rest of Palace too - (tour done in language groups, English 2 or 3 times a day IIRC)

The two Pinault museums show contemporary art, and the buildings are amazing - the Dogana is now open, in a unequaled location, and the Grassi (up the Grand Canal) has the best museum food we found - had a delightful lunch - and if you go to Ca Rezzonico across the way, which is worth the time, do go all the way up to the somewhat boring museum on the top floor for the views out the side and back windows: one down the canal, the other back over Dorsoduro

    Have fun!

May I also say that I really liked those lace up shoes, in every color, a la marcarons, n'est-ce pas?

  22. I'm coming back to this post just to say that I blame you for becoming addicted to IDbyME ;-) The shoes are gorgeous (I got a pair of bicolor derbies) and the cashmere is butter soft. And now I want one in every color. Help!
