Eiffel Tower Homage

Eiffel Tower Homage, original art
With just 12 days to go before I will be in Paris.
Eiffel TowerPlace de la Concord,original art, 5" x 7"
I'm deep into anti-phobia training.

Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower will be right out my window, not to mention just a stones throw away once I make it down the 6-7 flights of stairs to the outside.

Eiffel Tower To help break my Eiffel Tower aversion I found this adorable paper tower on Etsy at Blissfull Elements. It's helping I think.

Eiffel TowerShould I be drinking my morning hot chocolate out of an Eiffel Tower cup?

Eiffel Tower Maybe an origami-esque red paper version on my desk would do the trick?

Eiffel Tower Surely a solid chocolate tower would help.

Eiffel Tower Like these from Deskaledes at the Paris chocolate show.
Eiffel Tower Here the tower is combined with a macaron!
Perfection.
Eiffel Tower If I come home wearing these tower socks you'll know I not only survived but have become a passionate advocate!

BONJOUR TOUR EIFFEL!

  1. Oh, Carol,
these paintings were worth waiting for,
    they are divine!

Please don't buy the Mona Lisa socks,
she may bite you in the ankle, judging from that grin of hers. ;-)

  3. Bonjour Carol -
J'adore la tour eiffel and your new paintings! Reading this post today made me think of a post I wrote last year that I think you'd appreciate (http://antiquesdiva.blogspot.com/2008/08/reader-question-eiffel-tower-collection.html). When I moved from Paris all my friends gave me an Eiffel Tower to remember them by - it's a wonderful collection that makes me smile each time I see it!
    Great work as always!

  6. Dear Carol,
I love your paintings, especially the Eiffel Towers. I collect them and have too many in my apartment. My granddaughter calls them Grandma's Icicle Towers!
Have a wonderful time in Paris.

Wow, what a great blog! I especially love the picture of the Eiffel Tower macaroon and that pink paper Eiffel Tower - so creative! The Eiffel Tower is an amazing work of art, but you know, when it was first erected the Parisians hated it! Now it's making them millions of Euros every year through tourism! Go figure!

    Of course, my dear~

It isn't the six or seven flights of stairs DOWN
    that will be difficult.....hmmmm?

    I'm sorry I haven't been commenting lately... I
can't figure out the new system ...and it keeps
bouncing my notes to you. sigh.

  9. Dear Anonymous,
IF your comments get "bounced" and you get a RED message, just give the POST COMMENT button another plunk and it will go through.
Happens all the time to me.
GOIND DOWN STAIRS is not good for you according to the NYTImes.
    More about it tomorrow...

I know you must see a lot of window displays but do you remember what store I might find the tower with macaroon on top? I'm seeking a gift for my niece. Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shella
