Vosges Haut Chocolat

Vosges Haut ChocolatChocolate truffles, original watercolor, 5" x 7"
Yesterday I stopped in at the Soho boutique, Vosges Haut Chocolat for a look around on 132 Spring Street...
Vosges Haut Chocolat I had to paint this arresting poster at the entrance...
Vosges Haut Chocolat The shop is quite grand...Vosges Haut Chocolat
Chandeliers, marble counters, all in keeping with their elegant chocolates...
Vosges Haut Chocolat
Hot chocolate or espresso too...

A customer came in and requested a "hatbox" full of chocolates...oh my
Vosges Haut Chocolat Vosges Haut Chocolat (that's pronounced vo-oh-cho-co-la) is especially famous for their wildly exotic flavors...

Vosges Haut ChocolatTheir range of bars is vast: Chilli, bacon(!), mushroom (?), peanut butter
and the full range of cocoa percentages

Vosges Haut Chocolat
I reccomment you get a whole library of bars for careful perusal and serious tastings...

Vosges Haut ChocolatThey sent me this batch of bars (all sans chillis). I've been instantly converted to their "Deep Milk" Chocolate.
I can assure you I am NOT having chocolates for breakfast today as I write this post!
Absolutely NOT non non non..

BON CHOCOLAT!

  1. I see a painting in that last wonderfully bowed image, Carol. Just your style: a still life just sitting there waiting. They all sound so good. Love those chandeliers, and your chocolates painting is divine. Have a good weekend, cutie!

I love Vosges! I haven't yet been to the NYC boutique, but I do have great love for the Las Vegas one. My husband took me there for the dessert course of our second date and I've been hooked every since (on both the man and the chocolate, hehe).

A deliciously good post, as always! Merci!

  7. I must say that many times I feel your paintings are so much more delicious looking than the actual inspiration. That says alot, coming from a chocoholic like myself! Lovely.

I go to Vosges every time I am in New York. There are a couple of stores in Toronto that just started carrying their chocolate bars but nothing beats entering the store with its towering purple walls, marble counters and chandeliers to take in the entire brand experience. I wish they would hurry up and expand to Canada soon!
