Les Sapin de Noel Paris

Macaron Snow Globe, 5.5" x 7.5

Le sapin de Noël is a big deal in France...

New York's Tiffany & Co. likes it too. A "wooden" Xmas tree in Bloomindale's window...a pun? Fun! Bergdorf Goodman's 7th floor had everything under the sun to decorate your sapin de noel! And Serendipity3 on 255 East 60th street has Xmas ball earrings to wear whilst hanging those decorations. A few doors down these clock face Xmas balls... Were hanging on this crazy twirlie "tree" thing. Whilst out on Park Avenue, some were decorating this potted tree thing. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has its annual presentation of its Christmas tree and Neapolitan Baroque crèche.
Meanwhile in Paris this humongous sapin de Noël was already up at Galerie Lafayette in late October!!!
With manikins sporting matching sapin-shaped hairdos...hmmm
The tiniest sapin de Noël was seen on Park Avenue - enamel and all of 2" tall.
Belgian patisserie Debailleul has this typography sapin...
Click and enjoy!
BONNE Sapin de Noël!

  4. Hope you are having a happy Christmas week. Thanks for sharing images and paintings that are like visions of sugar spun into a mannequin's wig. No, that's not it. It's something about sugar plums dancing. You get the general idea.xoxo

Ce sapin de Noël des Galeries est confit de boules de Noël, comme un gâteau est confit de raisins ou fruits !
Tu nous fais toujours penser à la patisserie... c'est amusant !
    Très joyeux Noël !

  7. Oh how I miss New York! Such a wonderful time of year to be in the center of the world, NY. There's such a buzz during the holidays. Well there's always a buzz, but New Yorkers embrace the decorations and do it up. Thank you for sharing with us and San Francisco sends you a happy holidays.

Hi Carol! I had to look up "sapin" in my translator...so now I know, it's a fir tree. And, so is Tanen from "O Tanenbaum' fame, a fir tree. Everybody's celebrating the fir tree. As they should, I'd like to say. Here in California we have the Douglas Fir (which is a pseudo fir, in case you're going botanical on it!!!) Thanks for your fun post.
