Instead I found this adorable and VERY tiny bluebird!Champagne Tastes, original watercolor, 9" x 11"
The little china angel I bought in Paris has Champagne tastes.
Can you believe you trapse all the way over to Paris and you CAN NOT find a decent (miniature) bottle of Champagne! I got this from Rement Queen in LA. This miniature bottle I found on Ebay from Singapore!
And it came with only ONE glass! What's up with that?Meanwhile back at Tiny Doll House on 314 East 78th Street, they had plenty of summer iced tea, but the only Champagne bottle came attached permanently to a tray with 2 glasses. NG = no good They certainly were ready for spring with lots of tulip pots...And Smith & Hawkins garden accessories aplenty.Who wouldn't want this divine yellow rattan porch set?
Does the sun dial thingie come digital?Ah ha! A guard-en dog to be reckoned with. I did not dare set one foot on his closely guarded gazebo. No way.

Cute paintings. I am amazed at how real the miniature stuff look's. That look on the dalmatians face would have kept me off the porch too!! :)
ReplyDeleteNo planting here this weekend. We're expecting a cold rain/snow mixture. :( Last heard of this late in the year was in 1911 they tell us. Maybe we should head for NY. :)
It's got to be a lot less work planting a "tiny" garden than the real thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you all the way on this tiny stuff!
The Blue bird is a real charmer...
ReplyDeleteHe even looks FRENCH!
New York in heat of the 80s and were l live in the UK we have 80 mph winds, keep the bluebird with you as here he would be blown away,

You should have gone to Charlotte's apartment when you were in Paris, she has a champagne bottle in her dolls house there. See how we say dolls house and you say doll house - why?
ReplyDeleteOur temperature is in the high 5s and we have the fire on :(
Carol- That painting is GORGEOUS!!!!! I love the little bird. Oh , and look there, champers and an ange....A riot of spring today. I am very jealous and have paint envy. And an envie to play in le jardin. Bien fait, my friend.
ReplyDeleteAll best, Jan
OMG, Carol, I can't believe you have a miniature sundial and granny???! Too funny. (She looks like me in the garden today!) Very sweet, and I love your bluebirds! My favorites.

The "Bluebird of Happiness"
ReplyDeleteAND Champagne!
Does it get any better than this?
They have gotten the details amazingly right! That little old lady is dressed just like me AND she is holding the fabulous Felco #2 pruners!!! Come to think of it, after this exceedingly loooong week at work, she LOOKS a lot like me, too.... :-(
ReplyDeleteCarol. One word : ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteEvery single thing there at "Tiny Doll House" is adorable. I wonder, did you get anything? A few of those potted tulips? The oh soooo cute yellow rattan porch set?
Both paintings are bluebirdly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe are happily rolling with warm spring days. The lilacs are blooming now and send their fragrance all over the city. I spent an hour in my neighbor's garden basking in the tulips and forgetme- and whatnots in the sun.
Have a wonderful weekend,
M.
We all need those tiny treasures in our lives.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
I love all that you share.
Love Jeanne
