Day 1 PARIS

BONNE JOUR!
This was supposed to have been posted yesterday...ahem
But computer problems..bla bla bla
So you'll get TWO! posts today
Just some first impressions running around on Monday and shooting shooting shooting with my NEW wonderful Canon A720!
This town is full of eggs everwhere...
And rabbits rabbits rabbits up the whazoo
This one just hatched from an egg!
Don't you love the way seafood is displayed in the streets in front of Parisien restaurants?

An irresistable gateaux near my place (chez moi)...

Must not forget all the chickanerie that have invaded this town either...mostly nesting and hatching like crazy at Gerard Mulot, the king of Easter in my opinion, found at 76, rue de Seine 75006.
More Mulot.
Even more Mulot...just desserts :)
A pretty Frenchie window...
So many doggies for me to tail...
nite..nite

a bientot

    Hi Carol,
    Bonjour et bievenue à Paris!!

Just wanted to say hope that you are enjoying yourself - now that you are here, that is!
Also..... I noticed that the BCBG store near Madeleine still has those cupcakes up in the window!
Still - I am sure that you have many other, more Parisian, things to notice while you are here so, well, make the most of it!
I'll look forward to seeing what you dig up for your next posts!

  11. Ido SO enjoy your blog! And I Adore chocolate! But that photo at the end of evening lights on the water (sigh)--is that the Seine? (I have never been there) It almost looks like a Van Gogh. Wonderful!

I never knew rabbits hatched from chocolate eggs. Would it be non-Detente to search-and-destroy (by chewing) those chocolate eggs right now?
On another matter, I fear some news has cropped up in your absence. I can think of no way to soften the blow, so I'll just say it: Check this out:

And remember I love Piu Piu just as much as ever!

As much as I love chocolate, that LAST photo is the best! Sigh! At Easter time in France, the windows of the chocolate shops are such a feast for the eyes;do show us some of the little chocolate village Easter scenes you find. And thanks for taking us with you vicariously.

  17. I have seen such eggs and bunnies and chickens as would make your eyes fall out and your tongue touch the ground with intense salivation! I will show after a visit to the piscine / pool.
I late as usual at 6:57 AM
    Pool opens in 3 minutes!!!

Love all the pics, but it is this last one, this river view that made me say "oh....."

  22. Carol, what lovely pictures. I have to know, what is the weather like there this time of year? Are the flowers in bloom yet? And what direction are we looking in the last picture? It's so beautiful, but not a view I recognize.
