More Mulot

Gerard Mulot tarts I was in Gerard Mulot yesterday picking up some gift macarons.Gerard Mulot pastries And found myself taking pictures of all these tarts and petit fours. Such endless variety.Gerard Mulot pastries This isn't even all of them!Gerard Mulot pastriesI didn't include their description tags or titles.Gerard Mulot pastries It's like going to the museum and reading all the info about the artist rather than looking at the paintings. Too much left-brain activity and not enough right-brain sensory involvement.I'm amazed at all these designs, patterns and colors even before I think about what waits within. What an artist! Just something for you to chew on over the weekend.

  6. Delightful!
Here's something for you to chew on over the weekend. Go to this Chocolat shop in the Marais - Chocolats Vannier, 4, rue du Pas de la Mule - 75003 PARIS. It is just off Rue des Tournelles. You could buy yourself a chocolat artist's palette even. Take a look at their website first and then I defy you not to go - www.chocolats-vannier.com. ENJOY

The Eiffel tower says France to some, The Lourve to others. A baguette, wine and cheese speaks French that is sure, and of course the saying oh la la.
But this my friend, what you have captured here...This is France
beautiful delicious and tres oh la la!
Most French could rattle off the names of each of those cakes, while we AMericans can say chocolate chips and glazed donut.

When watching all those colourful and appetizing foodies, I feel as if I were a little "mulot" (=field-mouse) following her town-mouse mate in the land of plenty!!!
(my daughter is studying Jean de La Fontaine, so I keep his fables on mind!)

Thanks for this send-off for the weekend. I don't know how they continually come up with things more elegant than before. And the colors!...

Hmmm...getting some "gift" macarons? Naturally, one must think of others, but was it only gift macarons you were after? If so, you're a better man than I!
The overwhelming assortment reminds me of my first trip to our local Swiss pastry shop, Andre's. Completely unfamiliar with the contents, my eye was simply drowning in beauty! That was some 30 years ago, and I can proudly tell you that I have tasted each and every one. :-)mmmmmm..
