This Cup For Hire...

Cousin Bill's Teacup, original watercolor, 9" x 11"
Wait, what I mean is this paintbrush is for hire...no actually barter...
"Give me your tired, your hungry..." No, no, I mean give me your teacups!
And I mean your PRETTY teacups. No tired, no hungry teacups pleeeze!
You can include a macaron prop if you'd like...
I want to paint more pretty teacups like this one on Bergdorf's 7th floor...
I wonder if Bergdorf's reads ParisBreakfasts..?
This cup picture was sent from Merisi of Vienna..
It costs at least 200 Euros ! Don't go overboard. I don't do oils :(
These blue and white beauties are from Bergdorf Goodman's Vintage Tea shop. Just email me a good picture of the "pretty" teacup you'd like to trade for a watercolor and I'll pick one or two or...
My name is Carol and I'm a CUPaholic
Anali's teacup

LOOK!

Anali of Anali's First Amendment came up with the 1st teacup to exchange for a watercolor! This is fun!!! and I'm still looking.

  8. I wish I had pretty teacups to send. That blue one of Corey's with the macaron is gorgeous. I hope you'll share the painting before you send it to her.

  10. Oh, Carol, I wouldn't have dreamed of finding that cup in less than 24 hours in Brooklynn! I saw it yesterday in a shop window on Graben and thought of you cupoholic, and shot it surreptitiously (Vienna is a village, after all, and I don't want to be reported for suspicious behavior around luxury goods stores *smile*).
Now let me see if I have anything interesting in my own cupboard. ;-)

Lovely cup and berries. If I could I'd fill my house with cups. I need to attend the same meetings that you attend!

  13. Oh Corey's purple cup makes my heart go pitter-patter...and so do your beautiful watercolors.
What a great idea... a painting for a cup. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the pretty cups I have I inherited from my grandmother and I won't part from them. They bring back wonderful memories of "Kaffee und Kuchen" in Germany, where each person had their own set of matching cup, saucer and plate. It's a tradition that's now been lost. Too bad.

  15. A lovely idea. Years ago when we used to have leisurely breakfasts involving milky coffee I could not decide which breakfast cups from Villeroy & Boch I wanted, so I bought one from each of eight sets, and we love them dearly. Who says everything has to match!

Have you seen the teacups painted by Jenny Wheatley? (Can be seen on her Prints page in her website: www.jennywheatley.co.uk )

  18. You never cease to amaze me, what a brilliant idea. Paris is very short on vintage teacups, loads of coffee bowls but no teacups worth a second look. Now England is a different story we have teacups on every corner. I am off to search my cupboards to see if I have any worthy of your majesty but I think they are nearly all in store at the moment.
