I think I have not seen anything so lovely in a long time...purusing thru runaroundparis waiting for comments windows to open adn found you on her favorites.
Have you ever seen his installations of his work over the canals in Venice?? Amazing...his stuff was here in NC at our local museum and it's incredible. He also decorated a huge several story-high atrium in the Science building on the University of Puget Sound campus I've seen...
Just to clarify why I put this up today with no text. I live in New York City. 5 years ago I saw the World Trade Towers go down from my rooftop. This is not an easy day/week or anytime I think about it, for me. I wanted to post something that was beautiful and hopeful today, so voilà.
For just a second, I thought you were in St Louis where we have a Chihuly exhibit at our own Botanical Garden ... wouldn't that have been fun?! It's nice, this day, something of beauty.
Dale Chihuly is becoming the Andy Warhol of the 21st century. (I mean that in a good way.)
