Chanel RTW Spring 2024

Yesterday Paris Fashion Week closed as always with Chanel RTW 2024. (The show starts 3+ minutes in). We were there on the outside gawping…in the rain.

Last time Chanel went to a canal or a tunnel for the show. Fortunately yesterday they were back at Grand Palais Γ‰phΓ©mΓ¨re 🀸‍♂️ The show sites of major houses is kept a big secret, unless you’re in design school, know a buyer or someone with an invitation.

We checked.

My partner in crime C.M. sleuthed out the site the day before and saw them setting up the gold chairs. Yay 🀸‍♂️

This camellia-covered coat was a hottie. Camellias only on the front. You don’t want to sit on your Chanel camellias, crushing them…

Many attendees, same as us, like to gawp at the parade and take pictures. The only difference is their obligatory Chanel quilted bags, tweed jackets and other C-labeled accoutrements.

Men attending can get just as Chanelized head-to-foot.

Men are happy to pose for photographers too.

There are always a few tragic poseurs, sans invitation, parading around in their own creations.

What some were wearing on their feet

*WWD says hats are back both on and off the runway

At the start of the show, you see mostly elegant backs

We went and got a coffee ☕️ during the 15 minute show & I bought a new umbrella ☂️ from the tabac I didn’t need. The rain stopped.

At the end of the show everyone is relaxed. Par hazard I captured Derek Blasberg. Most names escape into SUVs near the entrance. You can hear the fan’s screams.

Clutching their goodie bags.

Temperature is not a factor for attendees. It was chilly in the 60’s

This classic red wool jacket was a winner we saw several times.

A very un-Chanel looking jacket/suit, but she’s got the earrings, necklace and gold-chain bag.

The runway models come out last, very happy its over.

I’m thinking of getting a Chanel double C tattoo. The closest I’ll come to a Chanel accessory (which is fine with me).

You can own a Chanel map for even less in my Etsy shop.

Have you seen the best yet documentary, Chanel Unbuttoned? I highly recommend it πŸ‘ BONNE TUESDAY PBers ❤️

    Carol,
Thanks so much for letting us see the clothes through your eyes. Loved the last photo of the red jacket. What color umbrella did you purchase at the tabac?

I was sure it would be red, maybe with black dots? Your striped one will have style, as everything you do is stylish!

All the shows run about 15 minutes for 100 pieces to be show
A lot of effort goes into it ❤️

Love anything Chanel! Despite her controversies she lives on. Even my 7year old grandchild is into pearls and quilted bags..fragrance and cute shoes. Thank you for being out in the rain to take pictures. The industry hires many behind the scenes to weave and produce all the trimmings and dedicated talent for us to admire if not buy.
