Hungry, I bought a crepe "beure-sucre." It was all beautifully wrapped and ready to eat. Which of course, I did. I had great plans for the evening, and this crepe would tide me over until dinner. Then, I felt a drip on my foot. Then another on my toe. And another. I looked down, and the sucre et beure had stealthily escaped it wrapper, and was dripping, dripping, dripping not only on my toe, but also, all the way down my tank top and little skirt! "Horrible!" I fetched a hand wipe out of my purse, intending to clean up this little mess. But alas, all it did was to spread it across my chic clothing. I got on the metro, carefully avoiding all eye contact with those who were gawking at the mess on the front of my clothing, and all over my feet and sandals. Humilliated, I stayed in for the night and did some hand-washing in my hotel basin.abcqdghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05859984235039787372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26546687.post-19613195923763343372013-04-13T03:36:39.832-04:002013-04-13T03:36:39.832-04:00FYI Paris dogs are small for a good reason = their...FYI Paris dogs are small for a good reason = their pooh is minute<br />There's a reason for everything here except why you can't eat in the streets.Parisbreakfastshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03558314043814894010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26546687.post-18182343680471333712013-04-07T20:46:32.890-04:002013-04-07T20:46:32.890-04:00Exactly my sentiments Nikon.

At lunchtime, I would usually be found walking up and down the busy sidewalks by les Grands Magasins (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette,) window-shopping, while enjoying my jambon-beurre or a galette complète... A chausson aux pommes or an éclair au café were enjoyed for dessert on occasion, when I returned to the office. I was young, had a faster metabolism, and somehow managed to walk it all off :-) The good old days... WIsh I had known that back then.
