I like your hat the best !
ReplyDeleteI’m afraid you are biased π
DeleteLove ogling the fancy hats, but I’m with you…a plain straw hat for me! SO summery, and so practical for keeping the sun off your head.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of the chic frenchies pic-nicing! Would love to see a photo of your horse pins. Have a fun day Carol!
I added the horse π pins for you Bonnie. I was standing near a woman who could identify each pin!
DeleteYour selfie is adorable! Love your look! π₯°
ReplyDeleteI just updated it with the Chantilly ice cream cone π¦
DeleteThank you for taking us to places we would never see if it wasn't for you and your beautiful art! Merci.
ReplyDeleteYour very welcome ❤️
DeleteBonjour Carol

Have to agree I liked your boater hat the best infact thought your whole outfit was perfect loved it π
Thanks for sharing your day with us always π€© fun to read your posts
Thank you ❤️
DeleteThis was quite the fashion show, but very different than Paris Fashion Week, where people dress head-to-toe one designer’s look. Much more individuality at the PRIX DE DIANE π
You look fabulous in your hat! I also loved the huge orange hat with her daughter in a green hat matching her outfit❤️❤️. Carolyn
ReplyDeleteSo many charming picnic scenes on the green!
DeleteWhat a fun post Carol. You look fabulous in your boater hat and it's fun to see everyone wearing their fashionable summer hats. You got some great horse pins too. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos. Makes me feel like I was there in person. Merci.

DeleteMy MOP is to bring everything Paris & French π«π· to you
LOVE your hat Carol! So creative to add the blue ribbon and the horse pins! Glad you got to enter the VIP section, you were in the middle of all the action. Looking forward to seeing your paintings <3
ReplyDeleteI was so LUCKY π
DeleteSomeone sat next to me on the shuttle bus and offered me a ticket π️
I already had a ticket but his ticket gave me Access Balance.
Which is a little green badge so you can enter the ‘Rond de presentation’ where all the horses π parade & the prize π are given.
Answered prayers π
I love Chantilly and this looks fabulous. Chantilly, horses, picnics , hats - who could want for anything more?
ReplyDeleteJune is a good time to visit Suki!

Have you read the book “Perestroika in Paris” by Jane Smiley? About a racehorse who escapes his stall & spends months on the streets of Paris. He befriends a dog, raven, two geese & a rat and they carry on a dialogue. If interested you can read more about it on Amazon or other book site.
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect for me! Thanks Bobbye! Always good ideas π
DeleteYou look fabulous! And I love all the hats. But that menu provided by Laduree is weird.
ReplyDeleteAnnie
What a fun day! Similar to Kentucky Oaks for 3 year old fillies the day before the Kentucky Derby. Hats and all!
ReplyDeleteYou are a horse pin collector now! Great way to decorate your hat. What a fun day at the races, ice cream, horses and observing hat fashions. I’m impressed with all the picnics, and many people seem to not have a picnic rug? I feel like here people would have one. Look forward to part 2!
ReplyDeleteInteresting observation Kirra!
DeleteSitting on the grass at all the races is encouraged.
