Creating December Paris letter

Creating the December Paris Christmas/Noël letter usually leads to tearing of hair and general consternation. This year was no different. Another folded letter for your mantle piece.
I knew I wanted to do something with Paris' KIOSQUES. Especially after seeing a folded paper advert card at an ephemera show.
I knew I wanted a snowy sky after seeing CHANEL No.5 Christmas gift box. But what sort of Parisians to place round the news stand? Contemporary? Old fashioned?
Looking through old pictures I spotted a tiny Father Christmas/Pere Noël. Eureka! Central casting calling.Ding-a-ling
Luckily I live near the wonderful PAPETERIE Marie-Tournelle, 5 rue de deux Ponts, Île St.Louis.
Oodles of Advent calendars and musical snowmen await. I cast that snowman and his cardinals in the Dec letter toute suite.
I brought home this 15" x 24" Advent calendar for inspiration.
Only the 3 carolers on the lower left made the cut. Anyone want a calendar? Come and get it.
No problem casting the red cardinals, not that I've ever seen one in Paris.
I've never seen a real snowman either. 'Bonhomme de neige' to you.
Parisbreakfast now has GIFT CERTIFICATES. Let us know what you would like to give. Thanks for reading. Gift yourself and your friends Parisbreakfast letters, maps and watercolors in my Etsy shop. Bear 🐻 is shoveling snow for a bonhomme de neige ⛄️Only kidding. ❤️Xxx
