I am italian and I have had the worst coffee in my life all over Paris.The coffee in America is also terrible, but taht does not surprise me. Just finished reading Essenc...From Dana in Canada,<br /><br />Just finished reading Essence myself...interesting book. What strikes me the most is how the impetus for the birth of stylistic creation in France came from the King's asute observation that keeping things local, supporting locally made artisanal goods and then encouraging citizens to buy their own goods, would strengthen their economy and national pride..So, perhaps, we're coming full circle with the recently growing trend to buy local and support local economies...look closer to home, support local artisans and develop our own styles.
