Easter Animal Farm

Like Radio City's Rockettes, pastel chocolate bunnies do their kick and lineup act. These yellow duckies will not float in your bathtub! White chocolate not rubber. Get out the knife and go to town.

Patrick Roger's sophisticated chocolate hedgehog sits in the window on bd St.-Germain.This giant chocolate rabbit is guarding an old fashioned boulangerie in the 18th.Jean-Paul Hevin puts everything except the kitchen sink into this Easter sculpture! All edible too. Not edible - a tiny Limoge bunnie..Edible!Unlike George Orwell's ANIMAL FARM, these animals play well together. Could only the French dream up this chocolate version of a mouse/sourci? There has to be a bear in this Noah's Ark of Easter animals.
How 'bout having a ribbon tied completely around yourself?
Dalloyau's big rabbit. What's inside? Little eggs?Rabbits inhabit the Metro too.. At first I couldn't find any chocolate frogs...But low and behold. Frog and rabbit went ahunting and rabbit got the carrot!

Awwww--these are great! I love the turtle and the frogs. Classic. I don't think I've seen anything quite like them before. Hope you're enjoying yourself, Carol, and "loving Paris in the springtime..."

Hoping your weather is better then our's right now. It's pouring & cold & threatening to snow here. And we don't have Paris to console us. :(

  15. Dear PB Readers!

You can not have them ALLLLL!
In fact unless you are independently wealthy with a very large trust fund that has not been effected by the current economic situation bla bla bla.
This is LOOK! Don't touch chocolate.
I wonder how people do eat them.
They are too adorable - it would be like killing your own cat or something to attack these cuties.
Maybe I should try just for the sake of "RESEARCH" and report back...hmmmmm
It would be nice to see what really lurks within...
You're putting dangerous thoughts into my head.
If only the French had day-after-Easter sales as we do.
    Will they never learn?!

I returned from that unfortunate event during my business trip, determined to re-capture the spirit of Detente (or was to re-capture the cause of Detente..?
No! the spirit of Detente...now, where was I going with this?) Little did I know what would await me when I caught up on my favorite blog! Oddly enough, the rabbits were not the most disturbing aspect...No, it was the green frogs doing YOGA! Perhaps the French fell yoga contributes to the quality of the frog legs.

Love the photos and the way you weave in the narrative. Your adventures make my early morning start off in such a happy place. I "want" that Limoge bunny though I know it's not chocolate. He's adorable.

    Thanks for sharing.
