Ciel Bleu..Paris Blue Skies

A mini flash report from PARIS!
Ciel bleu!
Paris blue skies all the way!!!
It's very Springy here.
I sat out on a cafe terrace yesterday for the first time all by myself and had an expresso on Boulvard St Germain.
Basically I told the waiter, I'll have one of those..as he was cleaning up the cups next to me.
I wasn't sure what to call it...but it was yummy
By the end of 9 days it should be easy.
And I got a French haircut - which kind of looks like you didn't get a haircut, but just got out of bed..
One of those.
At Lafayette Gourmet and I was agast at the gazillion kinds of hot chocolate they had!!!
There could easily have been 30.
The Parisen Easter bunnies are out in force and the bunny is pale green.
I have lots of fun pictures to show you when I get back.
Be patient...
I'm going swimming this morning to make up for the 7 macarOns I ate yesterday :(
They were really exceptionally small...
And bought for research purposes too...
Uh huh...
A tout a l'heure
Carolg in PARIS!!!

  2. With all of the research you must do with the macaroons and chocolate, are you sure you don't need an assistant? ;) Enjoy!

  3. If you like cream in your coffee, order a café crème. Miam! as the French say (Yum!)
And please eat a pain au chocolat for me (Chocolatine in the south of France) I miss those so much!
There is a cafe right next to Notre Dame that made me the best cafe creme!

Have a wonderful trip! Don't worry about the macarons...I am sure you will do so much walking that they will melt off of you! Enjoy a cafe au lait for me!

  7. Here's how to make delicious chocolate covered strawberries. First of all ensure that the strawberries you are intending to use are dry, then allow them to be room temperature warm prior to making them. After the strawberries have been covered in chocolate, put them in your refrigerator to cool, but do not store them in the fridge. Consume within 1-2 days.

  13. Bon alors je peux te parler en français ;-) Or should I switch in English..better not ? You are lucky because here in Switzerland the temperatures are a little bit to cold to have an espresso on a terrasse, but in a few days !!! You have to eat macarons, Paris is one of the city which is famous for that, so enjoy

    Have a nice day
